Mashed Mung Beans


1 Cup
1/2 Tsp Salt
2 Garlic, Chopped
6 Cups Water

Clean, wash and cook the mung beans with garlic and salt. Allow it to boil and reduce the heat to medium and cook for 45 minutes. Mash the mung beans after its cooked.


1 Tbsp Oil
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds


9 Perl Onions, Chopped

5 Green Chilies, Chopped into 2 Lengthwise Pieces
3 Garlic, Grated

11 Curry Leaves


Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, add onion and saute till it turns light brown. Add green chilies, garlic and saute until garlic turns light brown, add curry leaves.

1/2 Tsp Coriander Seeds
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper, Whole
1 Tsp Salt
1 and 3/4 Cup Water

Add the fried items to the mashed mung beans, add coriander seeds, black pepper, salt and water. Allow it to boil for 10 minutes in medium flame.

Cilantro Leaves, Chopped

Garnish with cilantro leaves.
