Onion Tomato Cilantro Chutney


1 Tsp Oil
2 Tsp Urad dal
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
1 Red Chilies
Asafoetida
1 Big Onions, Medium Size, Chopped
2 Garlic Cloves
1 Green Chilies

4 Tomatoes, Chopped
1 Bunch Cilantro
1/2 + 1/8 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder

1/2 Tsp Blackpepper Corns
1/2 Cup Almond / Walnut

Heat Oil in a pan, add Urad dal, Cumin Seeds, Red Chili and Asafoetida, fry till the color of the dal changes.

Add Onion, Garlic and Green Chilies, fry for 2 minutes.

Add Tomatoes, Cilantro, Salt, Turmeric Powder, mix well and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.

Allow it to cool.


Grind with nuts and black pepper corns.



Taste Note: Tastes Awesome

Note: I chopped 3 Green Chilies, sauted them and tasted the cooked vegetables and it was hot, so removed 1 chili while grinding.
