Taro Subzi


2 Tbsp Oil
15 Taro, Peel and Cut into Small Rounds or Chop each Taro into 12 Pieces


Pour olive oil in a heated pan, add taro and fry for 30 minutes in medium flame and keep aside. Stir continuously, otherwise it will stick to the bottom.


8 Garlic, Big
5 Green Chilies, Long
1 and 1/2 Tsp Mustard, Ground
1 and 1/2 Tsp Coriander, Ground
1 and 3/4 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 cup water


Grind garlic, green chilies, ground mustard, ground coriander, salt and ground turmeric.


1 Tbsp Oil
3/4 Tsp Fenugreek Seeds


1 Tomato
2 and 1/2 Cups Water
Coriander Leaves, To Garnish

Pour olive oil in a heated pan, add fenugreek seeds, saute for few seconds.

Add grinded masala and saute for 5 minutes in medium flame.

Add tomato and saute for 5 minutes in medium flame.

Add fried taro and saute for 2 minute minutes in medium flame.

Add water and allow it to boil for 30 minutes.

Garnish with coriander leaves.


Serves: 4
Taste Note: Tastes Great. Takes too much time to prepare. Next time i have to modify the recipe to bake the taro and cook with masala, i will modify the recipe and will post the modifications.
